Hanauma Bay

I spent the entire weekend polishing my research paper that was due on Monday, April 26th at 9:30am.  I re-read my paper over and over again until the words looked like a bunch of nothings.  I wouldn't say that I gave up, but that I had to face reality.  I turned that sucker in at 5:15am praying to the law school gods that my professor will have mercy on me.  Running off of two hours of sleep, I still had enough gas for a photo session at Hanauma Bay on the east side of Oahu.

Skate Park Shinnanigans: Diamond Head, Hawaii

Last Thursday I spent what seemed to be a never-ending day at school feeling discombobulated with the senseless yet sensible teachings of the law so I needed an escape to wonderland... and FAST!   Who knew BUTTJINGLES had the answer! An afternoon photo session in Diamond Head, Hawaii was the perfect end to my day.

Yay to the Bay... Waimea Bay on the North Shore

Hawaii's weather has not been as sunny and beautiful as I had hoped for the Easter weekend.  It was filled with on again and off again showers.  However, I did get to take some awesome photos last Saturday in Waimea Bay.  The sun decided to show up for a few hours and everyone and their mama was out and about enjoying the limited sunshine at the Bay.

Many locals and tourists enjoy jumping off Waimea Bay's rock.  However, lifeguards often warn them that they must time their jumps when the water isn't too shallow and to land a certain way so not to injur themselves.

 the beach is often the best place to sit and ponder, especially in Hawaii.  i catch myself doing it ALL the time.  i guess that's one of the reasons i LOVE the beach.

Maui Wowee 2008

Lately I have been enjoying life.  I lost that enjoyment somewhere between my first semester of law school and having to attend a writing class I desperately hated with a passion.  So I realized (thanks to serendipity) that the best way to recreate that wonderful feeling was to find my way back to the love of my life, photography.  Here are some of my favorite photos from my trip to Maui in 2008.
